| Our labels are made in the South West of UK and are produced using 1mm thick anodised aluminium.
Dimensions are to the widest points so excluding the tab with the two hanging holes leaves a usable height of approx 4 cms. Lighter and shinier than the Zinc ZH9 but equally durable and robust and thick enough to cope with the rigours of the weather and heavy-handed gardeners. In other words they don't bend as easily as some from the competition. Can be marked with ordinary pencil, graphite stick M5, marker pen M1 ( the easiest to use and giving the best contrast between writing and background but the writing will fade with time -time could easily be 5+ years), tape from a labelling machine or with letter punches. Also suitable for DIY engraving using a hardened steel point such as scissor blades etc or engraving tool - see product M4A. Using a pencil or graphite stick (our code M5) to mark these labels will give a surprisingly permanent finish. Any grade of pencil will write on them but try to use as soft as possible as the darker finish will give better contrast. Also try and resist the temptation to wipe across the writing immediately after application as it may smudge. Give the writing an hour or so and this will cease to be a problem. Fixing 1: Can be tied to the plant, stake, wire etc. If attaching to a plant Flexi-Tie represents a good bet as it is both durable and easy to work with but is also kind to the plant as it will not chafe in the wind and will stretch with growth. Fixing 2: For low growing plants one of our legs (code LEW) is the best option and can be seen in the photograph top left. Please note we can make these to any length (within reason!) that you specify. We have a limited number of this shape and size available as second quality and therefore cheaper.
